In an endoscope cleaning assistance device 1, an operation receiving unit 50 receives input from an operator. A display control unit 11 causes the protocols for manually cleaning an endoscope to be displayed, step by step, on a display unit 31. A measurement unit 12 measures a first timeframe from the start time to the end time of the protocol for the current step, the start time being triggered by the operation receiving unit 50 receiving an input for displaying the protocol for the current step and the end time being triggered by the operation receiving unit 50 receiving an input for displaying the protocol for the next step. A comparison determination unit 13 compares a reference timeframe for displaying the protocol given for each step with the first timeframe. If the first timeframe is shorter than the reference timeframe, the display control unit 11 displays, on the display unit 31, information alerting the operator.
