Abstract:
Provided are: an endoscope device which can be easily operated by utilizing buttons of an operational unit, mechanisms, and the like that already exist without an operator getting confused between assigned operations; an endoscope operating method; and a program. An endoscope device (10) includes: a movement pattern identifying unit (103) that identifies one or more movement patterns that indicate a specific movement of a scope head of a scope unit; an operation storage unit (101) that associates one or more pieces of operation information which instruct operation of the endoscope device with one or more movement patterns of the scope head and stores the same; an operation information acquisition unit (105) that acquires the operation information corresponding to the movement pattern from the operation storage unit on the basis of the movement pattern identified by the movement pattern identifying unit; and an operation execution unit (107) that executes the operation corresponding to the operation information acquired by the operation information acquisition unit.
