Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an endoscope operation unit having improved operability. The endoscope operation unit comprises: an elongated insertion portion (2) which is to be inserted into a subject and has a first longitudinal axis (Ax1), and in which a suction channel is provided; an operation unit (3) which is provided continuously to the base end of the insertion portion and has a second longitudinal axis (Ax2) extending in substantially the same direction as the first longitudinal axis, and which is to be gripped by an operator; a curving operation member (21) which is provided at the base end of the operation unit and has an axis (Ax3) that intersects the second longitudinal axis with an acute angle when not operated, and which swings about a predetermined fulcrum to curve the insertion portion; a first seat portion (14a) to which a suction operation member (24) is mounted so that the suction operation member protrudes frontward with respect to the second longitudinal axis; a second seat portion (14b) which has a surface protruding frontward further by a predetermined height than the first seat portion in substantially the same direction as the protruding direction of the suction operation member, with the predetermined height frontward being greater than the position of a suction tube connection member (25) of the suction operation member; and pressure operation members (23) which are provided on the surface of the second seat portion and to be operated under pressure.
