Abstract:
This endoscope system is provided with: an endoscope comprising a shaft part and a light-receiving part having an optical axis in a direction intersecting the shaft part; a display part whereon an image acquired via the light-receiving part is displayed; a first probe disposed on or about the optical axis of the endoscope and located at a position away from the shaft part; a second probe disposed on the endoscope at or near a position whereat the shaft part and optical axis intersect; a sensor for detecting the position of the first probe and position of the second probe; and a control part for acquiring either the direction from the second probe to the first probe or the direction from the first probe to the second probe as the direction of the optical axis.
