Abstract:
An endoscope system 60 is provided with: a valve 20 that airtightly holds an inner space of an endoscope 2; air pumps 62, 63 that open/close the valve 20 by applying negative pressure and positive pressure; a pressure sensor 61 that detects pressure when the negative pressure and the positive pressure are applied; and a control unit 64, to which a detection signal is inputted from the pressure sensor 61, and which drive-controls the air pumps 62, 63.
