Abstract:
An endoscope system comprising: an endoscope including an imaging element for imaging the body cavity and the lumen of an internal organ of a subject and a storage unit for holding information for correcting characteristics intrinsic to the imaging element; and an endoscope video processor including a control unit that is connected to the endoscope, corrects a subject image, which is imaged by the imaging element on the basis of the information held in the storage unit to correct the characteristics intrinsic to the imaging device, and generates video information on the body cavity and the lumen of the internal organ of the subject.
