Abstract:
Provided are an endoscope system and a method for operating the same, whereby camera shake can be reduced and still images of observed objects can be acquired in a state in which personal safety is ensured in a case in which light is emitted by switching between a first illumination light and a second illumination light having mutually different light emission spectra. When a still image acquisition instruction (FON) is issued in a second imaging period, camera shake in a second still image PS2 obtained in a still image acquisition period in a second imaging period is reduced, and the second still image PS2 is stored in a still image storage memory, in a state in which at least any one of control of a light source unit, control relating to an imaging sensor 44, or control relating to image processing is set to a camera shake reduction control state in which camera shake is reduced.
