Abstract:
An endoscope system according to the present invention comprises: an image capture unit which generates either two instances of image data which differ at least partially in an acquisition area of a photographic subject image or two instances of image data which have a disparity with respect to a common photographic subject; a first processor which carries out an image process upon one of the instances of image data; a second processor which carries out an image process upon the other instance of image data; a display image generating unit which is disposed in a different case body from the case body wherein the first processor and the second processor are disposed, and which generates display image data on the basis of the two instances of image data which are outputted from the first processor and/or the second processor; and a first synchronization signal generating unit which is disposed upon the first processor or the second processor, and which generates a synchronization signal for synchronizing the image capture unit, the first processor, the second processor, and the display image generating unit.
