Abstract:
An endoscope system is provided which determines whether or not imaging conditions are suitable and automatically corrects data used to calculate biological information; a processor device and an endoscope system operation method are also provided. This endoscope system is provided with: a correction value calculation unit which calculates a correction value of data used to calculate biological information; an index value calculation unit which calculates one or multiple types of index values which act as criteria for determining the possibility of calculating a correction value; a determination unit which uses an index value to determine whether or not an endoscopic image is suitable for correction; and a correction unit which, if the determination unit has determined that an endoscopic image is suitable for correction, uses the correction value calculated using the endoscopic image determined to be suitable for correction and corrects an endoscopic image, biological information, or data.
