Abstract:
Provided are: an endoscope system which is capable of taking into account both information security and increasing efficiency; a terminal device; a control method; and a program. This terminal device 5 is provided with: a connection determination unit 601 which determines whether a processor is a connection destination with which mutual wireless communication can be performed, on the basis of authentication information received by a communication unit 51; an authentication unit 602 for authenticating whether a user of the terminal device 5 is a registered user who has been registered in advance; and a communication control unit 603 which permits mutual wireless communication between the processor and the terminal device 5 or mutual wireless communication between a network and the terminal device 5, on the basis of the determination result from the connection determination unit 601 and the authentication result from the authentication unit 602.
