Abstract:
The purpose of the present invention is to provide an endoscope provided with a configuration which prevents damage, etc. to a channel tube and which enables the endoscope to be reliably assembled, the configuration being achieved without increasing the diameter of the portion where the channel tube and a connection member are connected and without reducing the easiness of assembling of the endoscope. An endoscope is provided with: a tube (30) comprising a single layer structure or a multiple layer structure; a branch member (21) for branching a conduit within an endoscope operation section (3) and having a tube connection section (21a) to which the tube is connected; a channel engagement member (26) for bringing the tube into close contact with the branch member and affixing the tube to the branch member by gripping the tube between the channel engagement member (26) and the tube connection section; and a fastening member (25) for pressing and bringing the tube into a close contact state, the tube being gripped between the tube connection section and the channel engagement member. The channel engagement member has a tapered section (26a) for covering the outer periphery of the tube and has at least one flat surface formed on the outer peripheral surface of the tapered section.
