Abstract:
This endoscope comprises: a universal cord which has one end connecting to a manipulable section and which connects the manipulable section to an external device; a first switch provided substantially at the same position as the position of connection to the universal cord along the longitudinal axis of the manipulable section; and a second switch which is provided on the opposite side of the first switch from the insertion section along the longitudinal axis of the manipulable section and which is formed so as to be higher than the first switch in a direction orthogonal to the longitudinal axis.
