Abstract:
An insertion section 73 is provided, said insertion section 73 including a distal end section 73A and a bending section 73B that is structured so as to change the direction of the distal end section 73A. The distal end section 73A has a housing 40 that is circular in cross-section, and an imaging module 30D that is rectangular in cross-section and includes an imaging section 20D and an optical module section 10, said optical module section 10 comprising a plurality of optical members. The imaging section 20D comprises an imaging element 20, and a semiconductor laminated body 60 within which a plurality of semiconductor elements 61-63 are laminated. The whole imaging module 30D is entirely contained within the interior of the housing 40.
