Abstract:
An endoscope 1 is provided with: an objective optical unit 10U provided with a front end optical lens 13 and an objective lens frame 10; a lighting optical system 20 provided with a lighting lens 21; and a front end section body 31 constituting a front end section 6. An objective lens frame 10C is provided with a first lens frame 11 and a second lens frame 12. The first lens frame 11 is provided with an arrangement hole 11h, an inner protrusion 11a, and an outer protrusion 11b. The second lens frame 12 is provided with a housing hole 12h. A light incident surface 13f and a first front end surface 11f are arranged in the same plane such that the chamfered surface of a chamfered section 13c is in surface contact with the lens positioning surface 11e of the inner protrusion 11a. The first front end surface 11f and a second front end surface 12f are arranged in the same plane such that a first frame positioning surface 11d is in surface contact with an objective optical unit positioning surface 12u.
