Abstract:
This endoscope is provided with: a raising platform which swings in such a way as to change a projecting direction of a treatment tool with which an insertion portion of the endoscope is provided; a shaft member, which is a member configured in such a way as to rotate about an axis, with the raising platform provided at one end thereof in the axial direction along the axis, wherein the shaft member supports the raising platform from the axial side and is configured to be capable of rotating integrally with the raising platform about the axis; a driving member which is fixed to an intermediate part of the shaft member in the direction along the axis and which is configured in such a way that a rotational force whereby the shaft member rotates about the axis is input to the shaft member; and a first bearing and a second bearing which support the shaft member rotatably about the axis, from both sides, in the direction along the axis, of the position at which the shaft member is subjected to the rotational force.
