Abstract:
An endoscope 1 is provided with: a curved part 7 provided with a first curved part 7a and a second curved part 7b; a flexible tube part 8; an operating part 3; a top coil 43u, the distal end of which is fixed to the second curved part 7b; a second coil 44, the distal end of which is fixed to the flexible tube part 8, and the proximal end of which is fixed to the inside of the operating part 3; a top coil receiving body 60 to which the top coil 43u is connected, the top coil receiving body 60 being able to advance and retreat inside the operating part 3; a switching part 55 for pressing the top coil receiving body 60 and compressing the top coil 43u; a curve length switching wire 47 connected to the switching part 55; a switching pulley 46 for causing the top coil receiving body 60 to move in advancing and retreating fashion via the switching part 55, the switching pulley 46 being provided inside the operating part 3; and a cam plate 82 having a cam part 85 formed so as to increase a frictional force in conjunction with rotation of the switching pulley 46, the cam plate 82 being disposed so as to be superposed on the switching pulley 46.
