Abstract:

Provided is an endoscope with which work related to the attachment/detachment of a proximal end side of a wire to a slider can be easily performed. The present invention is provided with: a base member (98) which forms a slider accommodation space (150) which is independent from an internal space of an operation part (22); an opening (94) which is provided to the proximal end of a wire channel (62), and through which the proximal end side of the wire (60) is lead out to the slider accommodation space (150); a slider (96) which is provided in the slider accommodation space (150), and which moves so as to be capable of advancing and retracting in the longitudinal direction of the operation part (22) in accordance with operation of a standing operation lever (20); a part (152) to be engaged which is provided to the slider (96), and which is recessed towards a side orthogonal to the movement direction of the slider (96); and an engagement member (154) which is provided to the proximal end of the wire (60), and which is capable of engaging with the part (152) to be engaged by being pushed down from the side.
