Abstract:
This endoscope 2 has an imaging element 21 provided with a parity addition unit 24 for adding parity to pixel data output from a sensor unit 22 in retrieval order controlled by a retrieval control unit 23, and has a connector unit 12 located closer to the proximal end than a cable 41, the connector unit 12 having: an error detection unit (parity check unit) 26 for detecting errors of the pixel data with the parity added thereto; a pixel rearrangement unit 27 for rearranging the pixel data after error detection that are output from the error detection unit 26; and an interpolation process unit 28 for inputting the pixel data rearranged by the pixel rearrangement unit 27 and performing an interpolation process on the basis of information that is output from the error detection unit 26 and that indicates whether or not an error has been detected.
