Abstract:
An endoscope (1) is provided with: a first bending wire (32a) connected to a first connecting part of a bending part (12) of an insertion part (2) inserted in a subject, the first bending wire (32a) causing the entire bending part (12) to bend in a first bending direction by traction of the first bending wire (32a); a second bending wire (33a) positioned on a proximal-end side relative to the first connecting part and connected to a second connecting part of the bending part (12), the second bending wire (33a) causing the proximal-end side relative to the second connecting part to bend in the first bending direction by traction of the second bending wire (33a); an operating lever (14a) for pulling the first bending wire (32a) toward the proximal end, the first bending wire (32a) being connected to the operating lever (14a); an operating lever (14b) for pulling the second bending wire (33a) toward the proximal end, the second bending wire (33a) being connected to the operating lever (14b); and a coil pipe (31a) in which the first bending wire (32a) and the second bending wire (33a) are inserted together in a position further toward the proximal end than the bending part (12).
