Abstract:
Provided is an endoscopic system capable of reliably setting the correction information that is unique to the image pickup element. An endoscopic system (1) provided with an image pickup device (244), which outputs post-photoelectric conversion signals from multiple pixels to the outside as image information, and a setting device (3) that is connected to the image pickup device (244) so as to be capable of communicating in both directions, wherein: the image pickup device (244) is provided with a recording unit (244c) that records identification information that identifies the image pickup device (244); and the setting device (3) acquires the correction information corresponding to the identification information received from the image pickup device (244) from the database (42) of a management server (4), transmits same to the image pickup device (244) and records same in a recording unit (244c).
