Abstract:
Provided is an endoscopic system (100) including: a light source device (3) for outputting signal light that passes through bodily tissue; a long, narrow medical instrument (1) for insertion into a blood vessel, having at the distal end an exit window for exit of the signal light supplied by the light source device (3); an endoscope (5) for insertion into the body, having an imaging unit (13) for capturing images of the body and acquiring optical images, and a detection part (13) for detecting signal light exiting from the exit window; and an image processing unit (15) for generating a synthesized image synthesizing the optical image and a marker indicating the position of the signal light.
