Abstract:
A cyclopentane derivative represented by general formula (I) or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof wherein Ar1 and Ar2 represent each independently phenyl, thienyl, pyridyl, indolyl, benzofuranyl or dihydrobenzofuranyl each of which may be substituted at arbitrary hydrogen atom(s) on the aromatic ring by one to four substituents selected from the group consisting of halogen, hydroxy, amino, carboxy, C1-C6 alkoxycarbonyl, mono- or di(C1-C6 alkyl)aminocarbonyl, carbamoyl tetrazol-5-yl, methylenedioxy, C1-C6 alkoxy, C2-C6 alkenyloxy, mono- or di(C1-C6 alkyl)amino, C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl and C2-C6 alkynyl; R1, R2 and R3 represent each independently hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, or a combination of R1 with R2 or R2 with R3 represents a single bond; R4 represents hydrogen, hydroxy or C1-C6 alkoxy, or C1-C6 alkyl, C2-C6 alkenyl or C2-C6 alkynyl each of which may be substituted by C1-C6 alkoxy, or alternatively R4 may be combined with R5 to represent C1-C6 alkylidene which may be substituted by C1-C6 alkoxy, or oxo; R5 represents hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, or alternatively R5 is combined with R4 to represent C1-C6 alkylidene which may be substituted by C1-C6 alkoxy, or oxo, or is combined with R6 to represent a single bond; R6 represents hydrogen or C1-C6 alkyl, or is combined with R5 to represent a single bond; and Y represents -CO-R7, SO3H, PO3H2, tetrazol-5-yl, 2-oxo-3H-1,2,3,5-oxathiadiazol-4-yl, or 5-oxo-4H-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3-yl.
