Abstract:
An energy management device according to an embodiment is used in a management system equipped with an information appliance management device that is provided with a first storage unit for storing an information appliance table indicating the relationship between at least one information appliance identifier for identifying each information appliance and zone identifiers relating to a plurality of zones, and that controls information appliances on the basis of data received from the energy management device and the information appliance table. The energy management device has an acquisition unit, a data processing unit, a second storage unit, and a communication unit. The acquisition unit acquires presence/absence information indicating whether people are present or absent in a plurality of zones relating to a building. The data processing unit generates data on the basis of the presence/absence information and the zone identifiers. The second storage unit stores, for each zone, the amount of power consumed by information appliances. The communication unit transmits data to an information appliance management server.
