Abstract:

According to an embodiment of the invention, an energy management system controls an electrical device installed in a designated area. This energy management system is provided with an image sensor and an energy management server. The image sensor captures an image of the designated area; and, from the captured image of the designated area, obtains human information indicating the status of human beings within the designated area and environment information related to the environment of the designated area, and outputs the information for each of a plurality of areas into which the designated area has been divided. The energy management server is connected to the image sensor through a communication network, the server implementing tasks and ambient control related to the electrical equipment, on the basis of the human information and environment information outputted by the image sensor for each of the divided areas.
