Abstract:
Provided is an energy regeneration device of a railroad vehicle whereby operation energy during a braking action can be regenerated even when energy cannot be regenerated by a drive electric motor. A fluid pressure mechanism (11) capable of varying the discharge flow rate of a working fluid operates as a fluid pressure pump or a fluid pressure motor. A gear mechanism (12) connects the fluid pressure mechanism (11) and an axle (104b). An accumulator (13) stores pressure energy of the incoming working fluid discharged from the fluid pressure mechanism (11), and constitutes a pressure source capable of supplying the fluid pressure mechanism (11) with the working fluid as a pressure fluid. A switching part (14) switches the flow direction of the working fluid between the fluid pressure mechanism (11) and the accumulator (13). A controller (15) controls the discharge flow rate of the working fluid discharged from the fluid pressure mechanism (11) and the action of switching the flow direction of the working fluid by the switching part (14), and sends a brake feedback signal to a brake control device (107).
