Abstract:
Provided are: an energy regeneration device that can regenerate the energy of working fluid that is discharged from an actuator while controlling the flow rate of the working fluid; and a work machine that comprises the energy regeneration device. A regeneration device (100) that comprises: a boom cylinder (20); an inertial fluid container (102); an oil tank (110); an accumulator (105); a low-pressure side switch (103); and a high-pressure side switch (104). In accordance with a target flow rate for working oil discharged from the boom cylinder (20), a computation unit (151) computes an opening area for the low-pressure side switch (103) and the high-pressure side switch (104). A regeneration control unit (153) adjusts the opening area of the low-pressure side switch (103) and the high-pressure side switch (104), alternates a connecting end of the inertial fluid container (102) between the low-pressure side switch (103) and the high-pressure side switch (104), and supplies the discharged working oil to the accumulator (105).
