An energy-saving road lamp provided with a trash can comprises: a road lamp post (1); and a lamp socket (15) disposed on the road lamp post (1). The road lamp post (1) is provided with a trash collection device and an energy-saving switch device. The energy-saving switch device comprises an electronic pressure switch (240) and an electronic time-delay relay (241). The lamp socket (15) is electronically connected to the electronic time-delay relay (241) electrically connected to a city power supply. The electronic pressure switch (240) is electrically connected to the electronic time-delay relay (241). The trash collection device comprises a trash can (20), a sieve (21) and a trash inlet (22). The road lamp post (1) has an empty chamber therein. The trash can is disposed in the empty chamber. The trash inlet (22) is positioned at an outer wall of the road lamp post and is pivotally coupled with a shield. The sieve (21) is disposed at a bottom of the trash can. A bottom of the road lamp post (1) is provided with a conduit (11) connected to a sewer. By providing the trash collection device and the energy-saving switch device on the road lamp post (1), the road lamp and the trash can are combined, thereby reducing areas occupied by road facilities. Moreover, the energy-saving switch device enables the road lamp to be powered only when a vehicle passes the pressure switch. Therefore, the invention can save energy and is environmentally friendly.
