Abstract:
This energy storage device 100 is provided with: a first heat exchanger 130 which exchanges heat between a gas and solid particles; a gas supply unit 110 which supplies a gas to the first heat exchanger; a heater 124 which heats the gas to be supplied to the first heat exchanger or the gas within the first heat exchanger by consuming electricity; a solid-gas separator 140 which performs solid-gas separation of a solid-gas mixture that is discharged from the first heat exchanger; a high-temperature tank 150 and a low-temperature tank 160, in which solid particles separated by the solid-gas separator are retained; a first heat utilization device 180 which utilizes the thermal energy of a gas that is separated by the solid-gas separator; a high-temperature particle supply unit 152 which supplies the solid particles retained in the high-temperature tank to the first heat exchanger; and a low-temperature particle supply unit 162 which supplies the solid particles retained in the low-temperature tank to the first heat exchanger.
