The present invention provides an energy storage system and a control method and apparatus therefor, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The energy storage system comprises: multiple battery apparatuses connected in series and a communication network. Each battery apparatus comprises a positive electrode and a negative electrode, and comprises an energy storage battery, a controller, and first and second switches, and multiple controllers can communicate on the basis of the communication network; the positive electrode of the energy storage battery is electrically connected to a first end of the first switch, the positive electrode and a first end of the second switch are both electrically connected to a second end of the first switch, and a second end of the second switch is electrically connected to the negative electrode of the energy storage battery; and the controller can control the connection and disconnection between the first and second ends of the first switch and control the connection and disconnection between the first and second ends of the second switch. The multiple battery apparatuses can simultaneously perform disconnection and connection operations.
