Abstract:
Provided are an energy storage system which enhances the accuracy of a fire management system so as to enable precise determination and suppression of fire, and a fire management method for an energy storage system. The energy storage system according to the present invention comprises a container, a heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system, and a fire management system, wherein the fire management system comprises: a fire extinguishing equipment and a control board; a smoke detector, a heat detector and a spark detector which are installed inside the container; and a duct smoke detector installed in a duct of the HVAC system. The control board has a mode for actuating the fire extinguishing equipment when the smoke detector, heat detector and spark detector all detect fire, a mode for actuating the fire extinguishing equipment when the duct smoke detector detects fire, and a mode for actuating the fire extinguishing equipment with a manual control button operation.
