Abstract:
An energy treatment device (2) having: a cutter (7) for cutting living tissue (H); a pair of high frequency electrodes (16a, 16b) which apply electrical and/or physical energy to the living tissue (H); and a sealing means (24) which, when at least the cutter (7) has cut the living tissue (H) and the extracellular matrix of the living tissue (H) has been extruded onto the cut surfaces (Hc) of the living tissue (H), actuates the pair of high frequency electrodes (16a, 16b) so as to apply electrical and/or physical energy to the cut surfaces (Hc) of the living tissue (H), connect the cut surfaces to each other by anastomosis, and seal the cut surfaces (Hc) of the living tissue (H).
