Abstract:
This energy treatment tool is provided with: a first gripping piece; and a second gripping piece which opens and closes in conjunction with the first gripping piece, and which grips a blood vessel in conjunction with the first gripping piece. The operation state of the energy treatment tool is switched between: a first mode for coagulating the blood vessel when branching of the blood vessel is not present within a prescribed range from a position where the blood vessel is gripped; and a second mode for coagulating the blood vessel when branching of the blood vessel is present within the prescribed range.
