Abstract:
When disengaging the large tooth surfaces (11b) of the dog teeth (11) of a piece (7) from a state of meshed engagement with the large tooth surfaces (12b) of the dog teeth (12) of a sleeve (8), the engagement device (1): controls a first motor generator (MG1) so as to cause relative rotation in a direction in which the small tooth surfaces (11a) of the dog teeth (11) approach the small tooth surfaces (12a) of the dog teeth (12); and controls an actuator (9) so as to move the sleeve (8) in the direction away from the piece (7). The disengaging force applied in the axial direction for disengaging from the engaged state can thereby be reliably reduced.
