Description:
AN ENGINE AXLE BEAM WITH A SINGLE PART ENGINE BRACKET MOUNTING PART

CARRIER

Technical Field

The invention relates to an engine axle beam, which is used in light commercial vehicles, to which the engine load is provided and the engine is fixed, which does not require struts and which is a single part design together with the engine bracket mounting part carrier.

Prior Art

Engine axle beam a part in vehicles, to which the engine load is provided and the engine is fixed. Due to their form of bridge, they are comprised of top body, bottom body, struts and spacer.

Engine axle beam is an important nut lock that carries the load of the vehicle engine and which is exposed to high dynamic forces. One engine axle beam is used per vehicle. Engine axle beam part, which is comprised of sheet metal components, is formed by connecting 2 pieces of sheet metal body and 2 pieces of strut parts by welding, to which engine is fixed.

In the prior art, the strut parts are manufactured separately from the main body and are mounted to the main body via inert-gas and spot welding. Because this process requires a separate manufacturing for the strut parts, additional costs arise.

In the patent research regarding the prior art, application of Yildiz Kahp Company with number TR2014/14460 is found. As described in the abstract page of the said application, the mentioned invention is an engine axle beam which carries the weight of the engine used in a vehicle and which comprises a main carrier body and strut parts which are fixed to the said main carrier body, wherein; it comprises a strut part of which the weld flange and engine axle beam surface of the engine sides wall form an integrated closed surface and of which the top corners have a closed radius form. In the said document, it is observed that the strut parts are located via a separate weldment.

In addition to these, in the prior art, approximately 2-3 minutes of labour is required during the mounting of the separately manufactured and welded strut parts to the main body, which consequently results in a rise in the labour cost and loss of time.

As a result, in parallel to the improved technology regarding the engine axle beams, a decrease in the weight of the vehicle and an efficiency of work power, labour and material are needed, therefore a novel design is required. Therefore; new structurings which will eliminate all the disadvantages that are mentioned above and provide solution to the current systems are required. Description of the Invention

Primary goal of the invention is to eliminate the need for the parts named struts by producing the engine bracket connection carrier in a single part form (uniform with the main body).

An aim of the invention is to provide a structuring with cost efficiency in terms of production by eliminating the need of labour (2-3 minutes of work) that result from welding etc. due to the elimination of need of additional struts in the engine bracket connection carrier sections of the strut parts, which are located in both ends of the engine axle beam.

An aim of the invention is to obtain economic achievements by improving the current part design by the superior molding technique.

An aim of the invention is to achieve a simpler process in the manufacturing process due to the elimination of need for struts.

Another aim of the invention is to reduce the risks of low quality of extra parts by its design.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a product reducing the usage of consumables to minimum level.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a product reducing the amount of time in production.

Another aim of the invention is to provide a product reducing the labour process and costs.

Another aim of the invention is to reduce the energy consumption.

Another aim of the invention is to use less materials in comparison to the prior art.

Another aim of the invention is to reduce the number of equipment and devices that are used to produce the said part.

Another advantage and aim of the invention is to reduce the main weight by reducing the number of parts.

In order to realize the aims described above; the present invention is an engine axle beam composing an engine bracket mounting part which is produced en-block to the top body and without the need of using spacer in the engine axle beam connection area.

Detailed Description of an Example of the Invention

The present invention is an engine axle beam comprising a bottom body (101 ), a top body (102), and an area of connection to the vehicle chassis (103) and it comprises at least one engine bracket mounting part (104) which is a single part to the top body (102) in the area that is curvedly located towards the center of gravity from the areas of connection to the vehicle chassis (103) that are located in the end parts of the top body (102)

Engine bracket mounting part (104) performs the function of engine bracket connection area, which is provided by the struts in the prior art and the fact that it is manufactured single part with the top body (102) eliminated the need of external strut mounting.

One engine bracket mounting part (104) per side is located on both sides of the area on which the area of connection to the vehicle chassis (103) is located, on the top body (102).
