Abstract:
Disclosed is an engine balance shaft. The engine balance shaft according to the present invention comprises: a shaft part having a cross sectional structure with an offset centre of gravity; and a journal part comprising a plurality of journals formed at irregular intervals in the shaft part, wherein key features are that: the shaft part has a press-fitting hole towards the front thereof, while an oil passageway is formed lengthways axially in the centre thereof; a balance gear formed with a lead-in shaft is secured by being press fitted into the press-fitting hole; from among the plurality of journals which constitute the journal part, the journal which is adjacent to the balance gear is formed so as to have an inflow pathway that connects with the oil passageway; and, from among the plurality of journals which constitute the journal part, a journal located in a position spaced away from the balance gear is formed so as to have an oil discharge pathway that connects through to the oil passageway.
