Abstract:
[Problem] The purpose of the disclosure of the present invention is to appropriately adjust the heat generation amount of an engine in accordance with an outside air introduction rate, in a vehicle in which heating is carried out using engine cooling water. [Solution] An engine control device that controls the operation of an engine (EG) which generates travel driving-force for a vehicle is provided with the following: an acquisition unit (S250, S251, S305, S306) that acquires state information based on the state of an air conditioning device (10, 30) impacting an outside air introduction ratio, the outside air introduction ratio being defined as a ratio, in the air conditioning device in which air is introduced into an air conditioning casing (11), heated using engine cooling-water and then blown into the vehicle interior, of the air volume of the air introduced into the air conditioning casing from the exterior of the vehicle to the air volume of air introduced into the air conditioning casing from the interior and the exterior of the vehicle; and a ratio trend control unit (S240-S285, 230, 240) that, on the basis of the state information acquired by the acquisition unit, controls the operation of the engine so that the heat generation amount of the engine becomes smaller to a greater extent in a case where the outside air introduction rate is a second rate which is lower than a first rate than in a case where the outside air introduction rate is the first rate.
