Abstract:
Under high loads, the amount of fuel injected in the engine is controlled using to the fuel injection protocol of the all-speed governor, and under low loads, the amount of fuel injected in the engine is controlled in compliance with engine output characteristics having an incline shallower than that of the regulation line of the fuel injection protocol of the all-speed governor. As a result, under low loads the rotational speed of the engine increases even if the accelerator pedal control input is less than the maximum control input, which reduces fuel consumption by making it unnecessary for an operator to make accelerator pedal control inputs approaching the maximum control input when it is necessary for the construction equipment to travel at high speed.
