Abstract:
An engine control device (50) applied to a system comprising: a rotating electrical machine (30); a battery (35) connected to the rotating electrical machine via a power conversion circuit (34); and an electrical load (36). The engine control device (50) selectively implements either: a first speed reduction processing whereby, after engine (11) combustion has stopped, a determination is made about whether the engine speed is in a prescribed rotation speed range including at least the resonance range of the engine, during a speed reduction period when the engine speed reduces to zero, and, if a determination has been made that the engine speed is in the prescribed rotation speed range, the speed at which engine speed is reduced is increased by using power regeneration by the rotating electrical machine; and a second speed reduction processing whereby the speed at which the engine speed is reduced is increased by power-driving the rotating electrical machine (30) to the reverse rotation side. The first speed reduction processing is implemented by a speed reduction control unit if the power consumption of the electrical load (36) is at least a prescribed value.
