Abstract:
This control device (50): calculates an ignition timing for multiple cylinders (101) of an engine (100) on the basis of whether or not knocking is occurring; sets a reference ignition timing by selecting the ignition timing of any of the cylinders (101) where the ignition timing takes place at a position on an advanced angle side beyond a maximum lag ignition timing on the most delayed angle side and on a delayed angle side beyond a maximum advanced ignition timing on the most advanced angle side; sets, as a permissible timing difference range, a range of permissible timing differences which is permissible with respect to said reference ignition timing; and, in the case when the ignition timings of the respective cylinders (101) have been determined to fall outside the permissible timing difference range, corrects the respective ignition timings so that timing differences with respect to the reference ignition timing fall within the permissible timing difference range.
