Abstract:
Provided is an engine control unit for construction machinery, comprising: an engine control dial which is manually operated by a user, thereby generating a control signal for increasing and decreasing the number of engine revolutions to a predetermined number; a jog shuttle having a jog switch which is manually rotated and pressed by the user, and generating a selection signal for selecting or changing functions corresponding to operating modes; an instrument panel for displaying operating information of constituent elements the user needs while operating the construction machinery; an engine controller for controlling the engine so that the engine responds to the control signal generated by the engine control dial; and an equipment controller for receiving either the control signal generated by the engine control dial or a control signal corresponding to the rotary or pressing operation of the jog switch, and for providing the engine controller with a value of the number of engine revolutions corresponding to the received control signal, among values of the number of engine revolutions corresponding respectively to the control signals.
