Abstract:
In the present invention an exhaust passage 53 includes first passages (high-speed passages 24b, 25b, and 26b) and second passages (low-speed passages 24c, 25c, and 26c) and, on the downstream side of a convergence section 54, is connected to a turbine housing 560. An engine exhaust device 100 is equipped with a valve (variable exhaust valve 3) configured so as to open and close the first passages. A control unit (engine control unit 7) closes the valve when the rotational frequency of an engine 1 is lower than a prescribed rotational frequency, and opens the valve when the rotational frequency is equal to or greater than the prescribed rotational frequency. When a fuel cut control is being executed the control unit opens the valve, even when the engine rotational frequency is lower than the prescribed rotational frequency.
