Abstract:
Provided is a vehicle engine hood support structure such that even if an engine hood which is supported from below in the vicinity of a light is hit by an obstacle from above the vicinity of the light, it is possible to mitigate the shock sustained by the obstacle. An engine hood (5) is supported from below by a hood support section (2) which is a component of a vehicle body and is disposed in the vicinity of a headlight (4). A rubber buffer (6) and a stay (7) are disposed between the engine hood (5) and the hood support section (2). The rubber buffer (6) is supported by the hood support section (2). The stay (7) integrally comprises fixed sections (10) which are fixed to the engine hood (5), an abutting section (8) which abuts the upper surface (6a) of the rubber buffer (6), and a pair of oblong plate sections (9) which connect together the fixed sections (10) and the abutting section (8).
