Abstract:
An engine operation device (40) for a work machine, comprising: a control assembly (42) arranged in a machine body (12); an operation lever (32) arranged on a steering wheel (22); and an operation cable (46). The control assembly (42) has: a base member (50); a stop switch (52) fixed to the base member (50); and a lever member (54) supported by the base member (50). The operation cable (46) has a throttle wire (78), a stop wire (80), and a cable tube (82) having the throttle wire (78) and the stop wire (80) inserted therethrough. The engine (13) is stopped as a result of the lever member (54) moving to a release position, as the operation lever (32) is moved to a prescribed engine stop position.
