Abstract:
Provided is an engine-powered working machine configured so as to enable a reduction in the temperature of exhaust gas when the exhaust gas is discharged to the outside from a muffler cover. A muffler 30 is mounted to the exhaust opening of a cylinder, an exhaust gas outlet is provided in a muffler wall surface, and an exhaust gas restriction member 40 having a plurality of exhaust openings 41a, 42a is provided covering the exhaust gas outlet. Streams of exhaust gas EX3 discharged from the exhaust openings 41a, 42a are discharged substantially parallel to the wall surface of the muffler 30 and in directions separating from each other, and openings 51, 52 are formed in the downstream portion of the muffler cover 50 in the direction of flow of the exhaust gas EX3. Providing a partition member 53 between the two openings 51, 52 makes it possible, without reducing the strength of the muffler cover 50, to form a large opening which does not reduce exhaust gas discharge efficiency. An inner wall portion of the partition member 53 is provided with a rib which extends substantially parallel to the exhaust gas discharge direction and which has an effect of regulating the flow of exhaust gas EX.
