Abstract:

To provide an engine starter device for vehicles that prevents kickback on the basis of crankshaft speed in the vicinity of the compression top dead center of an engine.　A motor stage determination unit (801) of a kickback prevention unit (80B) determines the angular range of an ACG starter motor (48) as a motor stage (MSTAGE) on the basis of the direction of the current flowing through each phase of the ACG starter motor (48). An instantaneous NE measurement unit (802) measures the instantaneous NE of a crank shaft (40) for each stage. For example, if the motor stage is switched at a 10° cycle, the instantaneous NE within said 10° is measured. An ignition control unit (803) delays the ignition timing of the engine when the instantaneous NE at a crank angle corresponding to the vicinity of the top dead center of the engine is equal to or less than a reference NE (NEref).
