Abstract:
According to the present invention, first and second rotational positions are determined in advance within a single rotation of a crankshaft. The second rotational position is located within an intake stroke and an expansion stroke, while the first rotational position is located before the second rotational position. The pressure in an intake pipe at the first rotational position and the pressure in the intake pipe at the second rotational position are acquired as first and second pressure values, respectively. On the basis of the acquired first and second pressure values, a determination is made as to whether the stroke including the second rotational position is an intake stroke or an expansion stroke. In the case when it is determined that a stroke including the second rotational position is an intake stroke, an injector is controlled so as to cause fuel to be injected within the intake stroke taking place at the time of pressure acquisition.
