Abstract:
An engine system (100) comprising: a variable compression device (A) having a fluid chamber (R3) in which a piston rod (6) connected to a piston (4) is moved in a direction that increases the compression ratio by supplying a pressurized working fluid; a booster mechanism (8) for pressurizing the working fluid and supplying the working fluid to the fluid chamber; detection devices (3d, 400, 500) that output a signal that includes position information for the piston rod; and a control device (300) configured so as to control the booster mechanism so as to maintain the movement position of the piston rod on the basis of the position information.
