Abstract:

The present invention addresses the problem of providing an engine system for a working machine that enables an exhaust discharging structure of an engine (1) for an exhaust-purification type working machine (engine) to be easily altered to suit a silencer type working machine (211) (engine (1)). This engine system for a working machine is equipped with an exhaust-purification device (2) for processing exhaust from an engine (1), the exhaust-purification device (2) is disposed on the machine side where the engine (1) is installed, and the exhaust from the exhaust-purification device (2) is discharged to the outside of the machine from a tailpipe (135). The exhaust-purification device (2) has an exhaust-intake-side housing (44) and an exhaust-discharge-side housing (45) and is structured such that an exhaust inlet port of the exhaust-intake-side housing (44) is connected to an exhaust manifold (7) of the engine (1), and an outlet port of the exhaust-discharge-side housing (45) is connected to the tailpipe (135). The exhaust-purification device (2) is equipped with a silencer housing (42) for damping exhaust noise of the engine (1), and is configured such that the silencer housing (42) can be inserted in either the exhaust-intake-side housing (44) or the exhaust-discharge-side housing (45) or both.
