Abstract:
Provided is an engine system in which an exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) control unit: acquires a plurality of engine state quantities, from among target engine rotational rate, engine load, scavenging pressure, and overcharger rotational rate; calculates individual optimal EGR gas flow rates from map data stored in advance on the basis of the values of each of the acquired engine state quantities; selects the smallest of the calculated plurality of individual optimal EGR gas flow rates as the optimal EGR gas flow rate; and generates a control signal on the basis of the selected optimal EGR gas flow rate.
