Abstract:
Provided is an engine that comprises: a fuel injection device having a rack for adjusting an injected amount of fuel injected to a combustion chamber and an actuator for controlling the position of the rack; and a control device for controlling the fuel injection by the fuel injection device on the basis of an instructed rotational speed, and also dither-controlling the actuator. The control device has information on a rotational speed fluctuation range based on a relationship between dither frequency in the dither control and rotational speed of the engine, and alters the dither frequency and/or the instructed rotational speed if the instructed rotational speed is determined to be within the rotational speed fluctuation range. Due to this configuration, provided is an engine with which periodic fluctuations in the engine speed triggered by dither control can be suppressed.
